Window Tinting

Window tinting is a popular addition to any vehicle, and comes with many benefits.

All vehicles are tinted at our premises in Bishop Auckland.

Most installations are completed within 1 – 3 hours depending on the size of the vehicle

Due to the nature of tinting, and the fact that dust cannot be entirely eliminated on occasion there can be minor imperfections in tinting, and this is the same everywhere with aftermarket fitment.

It is also worth mentioning that fixed windows (rear window and hatchback windows) often have a ‘dot matrix’ which is a series of dots around the edge of the glass, these prevent the tint from lying entirely flat and creates a silverish band around that area. This is completely normal.

Once your car has been tinted, the tint continues to bond to the glass and typically takes around 2 days for this procedure, in this time it is imperative that you do not wind the windows down, as this can and will damage the tint and cause it to peel. After 2 days you can use the windows as normal.

There are many benefits of window tint, which you can read about here.

We do NOT tint the front door windows, this is not a grey area, it is illegal, it will make the car unroadworthy, it is clearly specified on the GOV website and in the VOSA guidelines. You can read more about the law here
